Oh, I should have told you. This example should use S110 7.1 or S110 7.0. Since you use

S110 8.1, please change it. Also, what board do you use?

Is it a evaluation board like PCA10001? Or is it your own custom board?

Sorry for not telling you this setting.

This example uses the LED pin numbers from the PCA10001 board.

If it doesn't work, then I think you should doubt your board whether it is working properly.

Yes. If you try the HID Keyboard example, at the iOS Bluetooth settings, you'll discover "Nordic_Keyboard".

Since you'll be using nRFgo Studio, how about download to the flash directly using a hex file?

I'll give you a link.

After using this hex file, your board will advertise as "Nordic_Keyboard".

I'm glad it helped. However, I use SDK 7.2 and SoftDevice S110 7.1 so I don't know the example you're saying.

It is not impossible. Try HID Keyboard example. With this example,

your iOS device will detect the board

I think that the SoftDevice is S110, the version of the SDK is 8.1, I'm using BLE Button project and the ide is MBED. Regardes

Hi, before answering, it depends on which services you are using.

Maybe my previous question could be helpful.

According to that link, if you use only NUS(Nordic UART Service),

the iOS devices won't detect your ble device.

In sum, it depends. Can you tell us more about you are doing? Such as,

what SoftDevice are you using? Is it S110, S120, or S210?
what is the version of the SDK you are using?
what example code (or project) are you using? I hope to know what services you are using.
what IDE are you using? Keil, IAR, or GCC?
