While a specific gateway example is missing there are some building blocks you should consider. The main thing to check out is the 'serial' example, which lets the nRF51/nRF52 part act as a network processor in a larger system. If you need internet connection you also need Ethernet or WiFi, which Nordic does not provide. That is one of the main reasons why the 'serial' example is included.

'interactive_pyaci' (in 'scripts') is a Python program that lets you interactively control the 'serial' example. So you can program a DK with the 'serial' example and use the PC as gateway.

Since the gateway code is developed off the Nordic part it does not make a lot of sense to include a solution. Neither has it been a blocker for companies using Nordic's Bluetooth mesh. In the lighting example you can send command via RTT (check the main loop in client project), just type the number of the button you want to press. You can convert that into UART command. But you need to write your own code for that. Or you can try to import the UART driver from the nRF5 SDK.

Hi Rick,

No, there isn't a gateway example in the SDK. Feel free to create one. Mesh gateway to connect to cloud was not in the scope of Bluetooth Mesh spec.
