Hi jublin, have you taken a look at this case? Additionally, this case might be useful too. The Nordic Infocenter shows that there should be two examples in SDK 14.2 that should be compatible with freeRTOS (Blinky freeRTOS & Heart Rate Application with FreeRTOS). They can be found in the peripheral & ble_peripheral folders respectively. I will also ask a freeRTOS expert here at Nordic for a few more tips and get back to you soon. Hope that helps a bit!

I have looked a little at that, but as the eventual end product may not be targeting a Thingy (just generic nrf52832 on a custom board), I was hoping to be able to have an example built with just the NRF52 SDK. I do need the motion drivers for the thingy example, so I may see if It would be easy to add in the FreeRTOS files as they are now for the application I have built for the Thingy.

Have you taken a look at the latest FW for the Nordic Thingy:52? You could have a look in the "/external/sdk13/freertos/" folder and see if that helps a bit. Talked to an expert and he said freeRTOS should be pretty easy to run on an nrf52DK. It is uncertain how much driver porting you would require to make it run on the Thingy. Unsure if anyone here at Nordic has tried this yet, but I will talk to a few people and get back to you soon.
