because the pah8001 need system frequency to arrive 32MHz

I am working for heart rate service ,the sensor is the pah8001 of pixart ,any other way make their IIC communication frequency fast to 32MHz? or Could you recommend a good heart rate sensor?

The nRF51 series only run 16MHz. You may have a look at the new nRF52 series for faster processor

Nope, the 32MHz Crystal will be divided by 2 to generate the 16MHz for the core.

I don't know why exactly. There may be some initializations that are required before calling device_manager_init I guess. I had some crashes when I first started learning nrf51. I check the init order in many examples. That solved my problem.
You can use either 16 or 32 MHz crystal but the core runs only at 16MHz.

now,it's okay!that is my mistake.but can you tell me why it work when I put service_init before device_manager_init .

There must be an error code returned some where. Can you trace to see what is the error. It is also god if you can specify which softdevice & version of SDK you are using?

The init order may be a different. Try to put service_init before device_manager_init.

You don't have the 32KHz crystal. Use the RC oscillator to init the softdevice instead.

NRF_CLOCK_LFCLKSRC_RC_250_PPM_4000MS_CALIBRATION

The default examples all use NRF_CLOCK_LFCLKSRC_XTAL_20_PPM which make use of the 32KHz crystal.

Hi,

Evaluation board and dongle have a High frequency crysal AND a low frequency crystal. Low freq can be internal synthesized ( and you need just the external 16Mhz quartz). To do this you have to change this define :
