There may be some initializations that are required before calling device_manager_init I guess.  I had some crashes when I first started learning nrf51.  I check the init order in many examples.  That solved my problem.&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Evaluation board and dongle have a High frequency crysal AND a low frequency crystal.
Low freq can be internal synthesized ( and you need just the external 16Mhz quartz).
To do this you have to change this  define :&lt;/p&gt;
