Any advance with the issue ?

I have same dongle from Adafruit and same trouble. "ble-sniffer.exe" does not get to see bluefruit. It remains searching for the device. I've confirmed that new COM port is opened when plug the dongle.

Any help will be appreciated.

I have their hex file, but i don't have programming cable. Also, they recommend not to re-program. I have returned the item.

If you have their hex file, and if you can program the board, I would suggest to test if the UART working properly by flashing a UART test program. You would need to match the pin to the UART pin used on the board.

Thanks for your revert.

I have put up the same on their forum, but still waiting for somebody to reply. Yes they have a firmware but I am not aware if the board is pre-programmed or I have to program it.

Yes the USB gets detected everytime. I tried to use the Python API provided by Adafruit to do some debugging and noticed that the port gets opened but software receives no reply for PING_REQUEST.

I am not sure if i received a broken module or if something has changed in the way things work. The content at Adafruit is not up-to-date and somehow I cannot confirm the same for nRF-Sniff as well.

Hi Mayank,

I would suggest you to also send the question to Adafruit.

Did you flash new firmware to the sniffer or it was the firmware came with the sniffer ? Adafruit may have their own firmware for the sniffer.

Have you check if a new COM port is opened on the PC ?
