You could ask Samsung directly to see if they have implemented this. The way I see it, if long range support for smartphones has been implemented, there would at least be one article or some forum comment somewhere. I have spent quite a bit of time looking & have not found any indication to long range support in smartphones at the moment.

RE: Bluetooth 5

Hi,

Do you have any update about long range support ?

Does S8 (with last Android update) or S9 or any other phones have long range now ?

Thanks

You should first purchase two nRF52840 Preview Development Kits to be able to experiment with all the new Bluetooth 5 features.

After you get a hold of the kits we recommend you follow the getting started guide.

After you have experimented with the kits and are ready to build a product you should use the nRF52840 PDK Hardware files as a reference for your custom PCB.
