I'm looking for a bluetooth solution for our equipment. We need a chip that simulates a serial port, what we send by SPI port, it is received in the mobile and the data sent by the mobile is received by SPI.
we also need it to be as simple

RE: plug and play SPI

Perfect, Thanks very much.
it is very userfull for me.

RE: plug and play SPI

I agree with Sigurd, the best option would be to start with the Nordic Uart service example and just replace the Uart connection for the SPI one, and make the correct connections for the SPI pins.
I have done one project that streams audio to the ble and vice versa starting with this example (and using spi) and I remember it is not that difficult to add the SPI part to the existing project.

RE: plug and play SPI

After you receive data over SPI on the nRF52, you can then send it to the phone via BLE.

The data the phone send over BLE to the nRF52, you can then send over SPI to another device.

RE: plug and play SPI

Thanks,
This solution is very good idea. But, I need this example but SPI port.

Is it posible??

RE: plug and play SPI

Thanks, but I need the connection to be SPI.

With Plug and Play I mean that no specific library is necessary to work. That is, the bytes sent by the SPI are received in the mobile. No need for AT commands or packaging.

Many thanks,

RE: plug and play SPI

Hi,

The nRF52840 have support for USB, and we a USB CDC ACM Example (Virtual COM port) in our SDK, if that is what you are looking for.

If you are instead looking for UART/Serial Port Emulation over BLE, we have the Nordic UART Service example you can take a look at. If this is the case, I would recommend to buy a nRF52832-DK.

RE: plug and play SPI

Plug and play with what?

If you just want to open a connection between the smartphone and a computer, I don't think you need to be looking at anything custom. A USB BLE dongle could do the trick. Maybe this one with UART(not SPI) can do what you need.
