Hi Mostafa! Sorry, I put this on hold because it's a low priority thing (it's easily solvable by switching apps), but as soon as I get some idle time I'll put together a sample project where hopefully the issue will be reproducible.

I tried with another iPhone and it also didn't do anything. I'll see if I can isolate that piece of firmware and if I can reproduce the error there.

Ok we need to take a look at this, do you have an example firmware that reproduces this issue that is ok to share ?

In the mean time if you have another iOS device available I would like to see if the behavior reproduces there too

Same one. I connect with nRF Connect, try it, nothing. Disconnect, try with LightBlue, works, Try again with nRF Connect, nothing. And so on.

Nothing happens :/ With LightBlue I see this when I enable the notifications: Received indication state 1, notification state 0 Indication for BLE_DFU is enabled. With nRF Connect absolutely nothing happens. Also when I write to that characteristic nothing happens. With LightBlue at I get an error if the CCCD is not configured appropriately (i.e. indication not enabled, this is expected) and it reboots to the bootloader if the indication was indeed enabled. I don't understand why nRF Connect does not work at all. I mean, it's like I wasn't even doing anything.

I can see the issue is that your filenames have commas in them, causing some browsers to think that it's more than one image, we will handle that issue internally :)

Strange, I can seem to only see them when loading them via cURL but not through the website, will verify internally, but I can see the images.

So what happens exactly when you press the Enable notifications button "Up + Down Arrow Icon", and then writing 0x01 to the charcateristic by pressing the "Up arrow icon" ?

what is the exact value you write and what is the response that you seem form the peripheral ?

I updated the images, but I'm not sure if the problem was solved, it was the same process as the first time I uploaded them.

Seems like the images are not showing due to another error, causing only the alt-text to show, i got them locally, but seems like it only shows one characteristic, can you re upload full screenshots?

to clean up the faulty images, simply edit this question, then delete the current image references, and then click Ctrl+G to upload new images, when you do so an image tag will automatically be added to the question, do not modify that and things should be ok

I just checked on my phone and I can see the images, but I checked on a colleague's PC and he couldn't see them too. It's my first time posting images to this forum, how am I supposed to fix them? Thanks for your help!

The images you posted are not visible, can you check this out ? i think the issue might be due to the iOS cache but i'm not 100% certain, let me know when you update the images and if you can show us all the characteristics/services that are visible to nRF Connect, and which button you press to enable notifiations
