 What state uarte current consumption is only 1uA? How is this Idle defined?

&lt;p&gt;The UART is in idle mode when it is enabled, but not transferring data.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Have you considered using the CTS input pin as a wakeup source? You can have the system sleeping and when the peer device pulls CTS low you wake up the system and start the UART. Due to the UART&amp;#39;s low transfer speeds the system should be able to wake up fast enough.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;div style="clear:both;"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</description></item></channel></rss>
