@pettern: Please consider creating a new question. Regardless, the invalid state error usually happens if the peer didn't enable notifications.

Hi Thanks for your help. I checked your recommand source code. and then did test it. But, I met a problem.

The problem is that "ble_hids_inp_rep_send" function always returns "NRF_ERROR_INVALID_STATE". So, Device will be reset through "APP_ERROR_CHECK" function.

Honestly, I don't have any idea. what can I do to solve this issue? Please help to kindly answer me.

This example shows how to send "volume down key" (consumer control). The example is made for nRF51, but the code for sending the "volume down key" using nRF52 will be the same/very similar.
