I am trying to compile this demo with Segger Embedded Studio but compilation always fail with the error "Cannot open file C:/nRF5_SDK_14.2.0_17b948a/examples/ble_central_and_peripheral/experimental/nrf528xx-ble-throughput-demo-master/ble_app_att_mtu_throughput

RE: nRF52840 nrf528xx-ble-throughput-demo

Hi,

Have spend more time trying to be able to compile the project in SES, but at this point, not able to compile... I don’t know what I do wrong... I know I ask a lot, but as you are probably more experimented than me, would you be able to try to convert the Keil project to SES ?

Best regards,

Let me know how it works out.
I will take a look at the SES errors and see if I'm able to find a solution too.

Many thanks for your help. Will try your .hex file today. I will do more research on the compilation error and of course if I find the solution, will post it here

Sorry for the late response. I will edit my answer and attach a hex-file of the throughput example and softdevice s140 v6.0.0-6.alpha that you can test.
I'll take a look at the error's you get in SES and see if I can find a solution for you.

Thanks for the help, you are right, I was not using the right demo for the right SDK. So I have downloaded SDK14 (to have something clean), patched with the diff file but still have errors in Segger Embedded Studio =( You can find here the full output of errors.

And as I use softdevice 6.0.0.6 on a nrf52840DK can you post an .hex of the * ble_app_att_mtu_throughput_example_connecting_on_long_range* demo. So if compilation keeps failing I am able to test long range ?

Best regards

RE: nRF52840 nrf528xx-ble-throughput-demo

Hi!
The demo that you are trying to run is built based on SDK 13.0.0-1.alpha which I don't believe is directly compatible with the s140 softdevice v5.0.0-3-alpha.
However, when you download the new softdevice, you can try the example in the sofdevice folder;
ble_app_att_mtu_throughput_example_connecting_on_long_range

The
softdevice_handler.h
file can be found in the folder:
SDK_InstallFolder\components\softdevice\common\softdevice_handler

Many thanks for your help, will definitively try to shorten the path and see if I can compile it.
I also want to say a big thank you for the .hex file, I have just a small problem with it (I forgot to specify this in my question sorry...), I would like specially to test the bluetooth 5 long range, is there any way you can put a compiled version that works with softdevice 5.0.0.3 or higher in order to support long range

The error you are seeing might be caused by the path being to long (max 247 char.).
You could try shortening the name of some of the folders, and see if that helps.

Here's a precompiled hexfile with the softdevice (s140 v5.0.0-1.alpha) and the demo-application that you can test with your nRF52840 PDK:
demo_s140.hex

Joakim.
