&lt;p&gt;The RX windows are for receiving scan requests or connection requrests, yes.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;When using the ADV_NONCONN_IND advertising type the packets are neither scannable nor connectable, and the RX windows will be removed.&lt;/p&gt;
