I was testing the bonding with MITM settings. I used the code from the following link: github.com/.../nRF51-ble-peripheral-bond-handling . I tested the bonding on the nrf51822 chip with SDK 10 via a mobile application nrf Connect. Make sure you post which SDK version and SoftDevice version you are using. As well as debug logs and the error code you get that is causing the system to reset (compile with DEBUG flag, and check the app_error_handler). A sniffer trace would also be useful if there is nothing obvious in the error handler.

RE: bonding and mitm

Hello run_ar

Yes, I totally agree with you. If BLE connection is established then the BLE is not visible anymore. But nrf connect application provides the possibility that you can only add a bond (I checked that you are not connected after bonding). In this case, as I already said the ble is not visible anymore. I tested other programs from BLE examples and I got the same problem. If I remove bond then the ble becomes visible.

RE: bonding and mitm

When a device is connected - it will not longer be advertising and thus not viewable in the 'scanner'.
