I need 20 to 30 meter range. so which antenna is useful. and what is the necessary rule for connect the external antenna.
Thank you in advance.

RE: Antenna selection

There is not "best". A stubby antenna will be your best starting point. But you'll need to add an SMA connector to your board.

Chip antennas are easy to design with but won't have the performance of a well tunes PCB or Stubby antenna.

PCB antennas require alot of tuning which is time consuming and expensive. They tend to have best top-end performance then a chip antenna. Especially in terms of bandwidth.

I've design some devices with chip antenna's with a max range of 20-25m. So if you're wanting more, you'll need a well tunes PCB or stubby antenna.

RE: Antenna selection

Yes i don't want to add PA to design i just need the real time data in 20 to 30 meter range.
PCB antenna or chip antenna which is the best ? and which antenna is best for nRF52832 ?

RE: Antenna selection

This assumes you don't want to add a PA to your design.

RE: Antenna selection

For that kind of range you're likely gonna need a stubby antenna similar to the ones provided with some of the dev kits and connect through an SMA connector
