&lt;p&gt;As endnode pointed out in the original thread the link layer will ensure correct packet delivery and ordering.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The only way a packet can get lost is if the link is disconnected before the packet has been successfully sent (and if this occurs you will get notified by the disconnected event).&lt;/p&gt;
