But if you don't get the SDK, can you compile properly the source code in order to get the HEX to carry on with the OTA-DFU? I have the SMART BEACON KIT but I don't know how should I compile the source code I have modified.

All of our reference designs are self-contained in terms of firmware dependencies. The product key that is supplied with the beacon kit will not open the SDK. I'm sending you a PM with additional information.
