Is the LED 5 on your board blinking rapidly? If so, this case might be helpful. Can you see the JLINK folder under Windows explorer when your DK is attached to the computer and turned on?

I have a similar issue with flashing green light when connected to my windows computer (which worked before) I tried this method and in nRFgo studio it shows "No boards connected".

Could you try to download nrfgo studio here first. Then, could you download sdk 12.3.0 from this link here? Finally, open nrf go studio, find your nrf51 under device manager, press the erase all button & then under the program application tab browse for the ble_app_hrs example hex file. This can be found under "examples\ble_peripheral\ble_app_hrs\hex\ble_app_hrs_pca10028_s130.hex". Once you have programmed the hex file, you can open up nrf connect & see if you can select the correct com port.

my board was working before with windows nrf connect. now when usb cable is attached and nrf connect program started, the green light on board is dark and I cannot select com port to connect.

I had another problem earlier and I tried to resolve it by pressing the reset button on nrf51 board during power up.

Do I need to re-flash the board's firmware. If so, please point me to instructions

Do you mean nrf5 command line tools for windows? Or nrf tools for android/iOS? Have you seen this Devzone case?
