I am measuring the current of nRF 52832 using PPK (PCA63511).
I want to measure the current of nrf chip only with PPK.
The chip of nRF is PCA10040.
What is the measurement method of the chip alone, not the entire nRF?

The LED's are sinked and not sourced, so they should not contribute to the current draw.

You should not need to disconnect any other solder bridges, no. Are you still seeing excessive current draw?
What do you measure, and what do you expect to measure?

I measured LEDs as well as nrf chips.

So, I disconnected SB5 ~ SB8 to invalidate the LED.

Do I need to disconnect other SB solder bridges?

Have you disconnected the SB9 solder bridge, as detailed in the PPK Quick start?
If not the measurements will not be accurate.

In particular, I would like to measure with Power Profiler Kit (PPK).

RE: Measurement of nrf chip only

Thank you for your reply.regards.

RE: Measurement of nrf chip only

Hi

I am a bit uncertain what you mean.

The chip with the PCA10040 sticker on it is a standard Atmel AVR chip that is used for programming the nRF52832. This device is not included in the power measurements when you use the PPK.

The only thing you are measuring is the current consumption of the nRF52832 device, and also the current being sourced (output) from the GPIO's on the nRF52832.

Best regards
