After making RTT Viewer run, I have the following output from the viewer.

I think you've given me the answer. I'll confirm after some testing.

Upon reflection, I can confirm that I wasn't using RTT Viewer.

I'm sorry, but you are making it very hard to help you. Have you opened a program called J-Link RTT Viewer? Like described under "Opening a Real Time Terminal" here.

If you have, are you able to input commands? According to this?

Yes, I suppose I must be, as when running the light switch example, I emulate the buttons by pressing between 0 and 4

If you are using a program called J-Link RTT Viewer you are using RTT Viewer :) Are you using that?

And are you able to input commands? According to this?

I'm very new to the environment, I know that I can enter RTT commands or values, I presume that this means I'm using an RTT Viewer?
