I imagine this is a pretty common and basic question but I couldn't find anything online.
Since the nRF52xxx chips are single-band 2.4GHz (and possibly sub-GHz also), is it advisable to use a Dual-Band (2.4GHz + 5GHz) WiFi Antenna as the

RE: nRF52xxx Safe to use Dual-Band WiFi Antenna?

Couldn't you potentially run into 2nd harmonic issues during certification?

RE: nRF52xxx Safe to use Dual-Band WiFi Antenna?

Great. The reason I want to use the antenna is simply because of it's form factor. A lot of antennas are coming out these days that are not simply single-band but are dual-band and sometimes have superior qualities. So as long as the unused band doesn't cause too much interference, then I think we will go ahead and use it.

I checked with our RF expert. It should be ok, the matching network should be able to surpress 2nd harmonic.

Is there any particular reason why you want to use the dual band antenna ? Do you plan to combine it with a wifi module ?
