Hi Guys,

I am facing a similar issue. Has anyone found solution for this.

I have custom board with nrf51822. I am trying to flash it using Jlink Plus Programmer/debugger(Same as the one shown above). But neither of KEIL or nRFgo studio is detecting the device.

We are connecting Jlink to custom board using Tag-Connect TC2030 -CTX-20-NL

Can you kindly suggest where we are going wrong ? Jlink is detected by both nRFgo and KEIL.

Is there any document which explains programming of nRF51822 with JLink programmer/debugger ?

What settings/configurations need to be to program a nRF51822 chip using JLink Plus.

As per my understanding we need to connect

SWDIO
SWDCLK
VCC
GND of programmer to nRF51822 lines

You need to connect the Vcc & GND to the jtag as well. Not just the 2 SWD pins.

99% chance, the line is not well connected.

check the soldering.

Unfortunately, I get the same issue after trying this. It did say something like "successfully written" 3 times when I ran those commands

ok, i will check this. But this is a brand new chip. This is the first time I am attempting to connect to it.

May be the chip is stuck. It can happen if there’s no specification in firmware about how it can come alive after reset.

Try to open J-Link Commander from the start menu, and write the following:

w4 4001e504 2

w4 4001e50c 1

w4 4001e514 1

Hope it would work. It did for me everytime.
