The issue can only be fixed by replacing the hardware. We currently don't have a workaround for that. Note that the nRF52840 is still in engineering version and it should not be used for production. For now, for testing USB DFU, you would need to connect RTT Viewer.

Thank you for your help.

This seems to be the same problem.

My board is V0.9.2, 2017.25.

If I do not have the RTT Viewer and connect USB, I still get device recognition failure.

But when I connect the USB with RTT Viewer connected

0> app: USB power detected

0> app: USB ready

I confirmed that the log comes up.

Do I need to re-purchase my hardware version to V0.9.3?

Can USB DFU not be used in V0.9.2?

Most likely your issue is the same as this issue. Could you try to test again with RTT viewer connected ?

The \ examples \ peripheral \ usbd_cdc_acm example you mentioned works fine.

But I tried the USB CDC ACM Secure DFU Bootloader Example again, but the USB recognition fails. Device Manager displays "Unknown USB device (device descriptor request failed)". Am I not good at building the program?

The pca10056_debug shouldn't a problem. But have you tried to test if the USB CDC ACM works fine ? You can test using \examples\peripheral\usbd_cdc_acm example. The driver included should be used. Also what about other USB examples, have you tested ?

In addition, I built and downloaded the [pca10056_debug] folder, not the [pca10056] folder in the experimental_bootloader_secure_usb example.
