It works fine for me to periodically update data with ble_advdata_set as John DeWitt suggested. Show your code.

still i coudnt get tempeature values in scanned response .it is showing always 00 !!

Yes you can call:

/**@brief Stop advertising (GAP Discoverable, Connectable modes, Broadcast Procedure).

However, I don't believe you have to stop and restart advertising to update data in the advertising packet. You just need to call ble_advdata_set any time you want to update your advertising data.

The thing is i use an external mcu to get the thermometer readings and transfer it to blr through uart . i want to display this value as scanned response data . now am not getting values ! it is always showing 00 !!

I don't quite get it. You say that the data in advertising packets does not change? To change the data in advertising packets you need to reinitialize advertising, i.e. 1. Stop advertising. 2. Initialize advertising with new data. 3. Start advertising..

i have a doubt ! unfortunately am not gettin the same temperature hex values in the scanned response data !!! it is showing some other value !! it doesnt match with the value obtained after pairing! is both the values r same or different ??

It depends on data purpose. To send some user data in advertising packet you can either:

Send it as manufacturer specific data field.
Send it as data related to one of your services in service data field.
