@MatthewKYEO If I were you, I would try it out yourself. See the nordic infocenter Usage in the Mesh section. You can learn a lot about mesh that way & how it works. I don't think there is an example of this feature in the mesh sdk yet because it is experimental and breaks compatibility with bluetooth mesh specs. I will test this a bit later & see if I can get it working. For the audio files, this devzone case could be helpful.

When enabled, all communication in the core mesh will happen through Instaburst instead of regular advertisers, yielding higher throughput, but breaking compatibility with other Bluetooth Mesh implementations.

@David Edwin. I'm trying to test that "instarburst" feature. Is this feature configurable when using the light_switch example? I couldn't find the option in the example. Lastly, do you have any comments about audio file handling supports, sir?

"Instaburst" is Nordic proprietary at the RF only but will support all the Model/profile and device properties at the upper level.

Is that 'instaburst' defined in the mesh networking specifications (model, profile, device properties) in bluetooth.org? Or is it something specific to the nRF sdk only?

You can consider using the "Instaburst" feature on the Bluetooth Mesh SDK v1.x , this should let stream mono voice to a gateway from 4 nodes. Instaburst allows much larger bandwidth on mesh as compared to the Bluetooth standard.

Maybe with nRF52840 you could get better audio quanlity (there was an audio demo to showcase the bluetooth 5 readiness of nRF52840 I believe...); I am only familiar with the 52832 so I am most likely wrong here in my conjecture.

I suspect it will be "low-fi" voice quality i.e. no where close to the A2DP profile in classic bluetooth. You better consult the Nordic experts on this potential usecase.
