I know this is an old post but wanted to post an answer just in case anybody is still interested:

in sdk_config.h, Make sure that you chose RC clock setting at both location, under NRF_SDH_ENABLED and under CLOCK_ENABLED.

Based on your description, you probably didn't change the setting under CLOCK_ENABLED, so clock peripheral is still looking for XTAL.

I Have experience the same thing with SDK 11.0.0 using nrf52832

How to resolve this.

Hi,

Would your application use the softdevice ?

Have you tested with a nordic ble example ? for example ble_app_hrs. Of course please edit it so it uses the internal RC LFCLK.

If you use an LED or UART logging, could you figure out where the code stuck ?
