Thanks for sharing the info, but I was wondering if I could use Softdevice S130 v2.0.1 with an SDK 9 example?

Yes, I'm aware the mapping states it uses a S130 v1 for SDK 9 but just assuming it would just be some additional bug fixes in the v2.0.1 so will it still work if I use the latest SD S130 for SDK 9?

Please let me know if its completely different from S130 v1

For new development I would likely recommend you to check out the nRF52-series, such as the nRF52832. The latest SDK supporting the nRF51-series is SDKv12.3.

In terms of RAM and code requirements for different softdevice binaries you should download the SDS document in the above table for the specific softdevice you are interested in. I don't recommend to mix SDK and SD from different releases than intended from the above table, due to API dependencies in many SDK modules.
