Hi,

Support for Advertising in Coded PHY were added in s140v5.0.0-3.alpha, so you should be able to use s140v5.0.0-3.alpha. But the example I linked you is based on the s140v6.0.0-6.alpha, so it is recommended to use this softdevice. Also with the s140v6.0.0-6.alpha improvements were made to LE Coded PHY, which gave increased maximum range, and an updated API.

Hi Martin, I mean initial advertising in coded PHY, I see now how thats being set in the example you linked to by the ble_gap_adv_params_t struct. Is it only possible to advertise in coded with softdevice 6.0.0-6?

Can you tell me more about what is that doesn't work? Are you trying to advertise in coded PHY or just changing the PHY after connection?
