I understand that this goes against the general concepts of BLE. I have not found a canonical solution to this problem.

&lt;p&gt;You might want to check out the &lt;a href="https://devzone.nordicsemi.com/search?q=whitelisting"&gt;witelisting &lt;/a&gt;feature. &lt;a href="https://devzone.nordicsemi.com/f/nordic-q-a/19394/device-still-visible-while-advertising-with-whitelist/75254#75254"&gt;This post&lt;/a&gt; has some more details.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;We do not support any other ways of limiting BLE connections and if whitelisting does not solve your problem you will have to create your own solution.&lt;/p&gt;
