Hi Eric.

I haven't worked with Eclipse myself before.
I usually point people to SEGGER Embedded Studio, and our video tutorial to get started.
SEGGER Embedded Studio is free of charge, and Nordic Semiconductor provide a free license for commercial use with nRF5 devices.

You can find examples that work out of the box in the latest SDK's (from 14.1.0), and following the video-tutorial should give you a good introduction on how to use both SES and the SDK.

I don't think Nordic provides Eclipse templates. The examples they mentioned are included in every SDK. You're supposed to follow the tutorial and make the Eclipse project yourself.

in the development-with-gcc-and-eclipse I get to the part where it says,

"I have attached the ble_app_hrs and blinky example that can be used as a starting point, see the last section for a list of attachments. You may want to start with the blinky example first to keep it simple at first."

The links for the eclipse projects do not contain eclipse projects....are there updated links?

Are there tutorials on how to use bluetooth low energy to transmit data between devices?

Thanks, will check it out, it would be a relief to just find a simple way to compile the blinky example, say gcc blinky, then copy the hex file over
