I am using nRF52832 development kit to connect to STM32L4 via UART. I flashed ser_s13 2 _uart binary to nRF board and porting the STML0 nRF driver package from here to STML4. If i supply power to nRF52 through USB cable, i am observing the LED(LD5

RE: External power supply issue with nRF52832 EVK(PCA10040)

OKay thanks.

RE: External power supply issue with nRF52832 EVK(PCA10040)

Updated link.
When powered with USB, if i press the reset button, the P0.23(configured as UART Tx) also resets(pull down for 300ms). But when powered with external power supply, if i press the reset button, the P0.23 doesn't reset.

As described in the DK documentation, the interface MCU is in "dormant state" when not powered by USB. LED5 is controlled by the IF MCU, and is most likely not powered in this state. The Reset button functionality is also handled by the IF MCU, and should work in this state. What do you mean by:
the reset button(SW5) is not resetting P0.23 GPIO which is configured as UART Tx.
