&lt;p&gt;Eclipse runs a CDT-parser on the output of your &amp;quot;make&amp;quot; operation. If this operation is a silent operation (ie: does not print anything wrt. the compiler options), CDT will fail.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Can you make sure that your default build command is set to &amp;quot;&lt;em&gt;make VERBOSE=1&lt;/em&gt;&lt;span&gt;&amp;quot; in your Eclipse setup? This will ensure that everything is echoed when building.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
