I've found the issue!! In the ble_app_template example is advertising_init function called before service_init function. That causes, that the softdevice doesn't know my UUID and can't encode it, when I change service and advertising_init function, the complete 128bit UUID is advertised.

As far as I understood that I have to define the UUID Type to _VENDOR_BEGIN (that's the way it is in uart example). When I do that to my UUID the ble_advdata_encode function in ble_advdata_set function is returning error code 7 (NRF_ERROR_INVALID_PARAM). I don't know what's wrong?? Any other suggestion where I can have a look?

If I'm not mistaken, this is done in the ble_app_uart Nordic example.

Can you give me an example how to get the 128bit uuid into the scan response data. I'm using the init struct from the ble_peripheral_template and it only can hold 16bit UUIDs.

So you probably want to advertise a 128 bit UUID, that's already 16 bytes. What you can do is put your custom UUID in the scan response and see if that works.

hi,

you can advertise your own data in advertising packet. take ble_app_beacon as a base example and try to build your own application ans also you can create own service and advertise its uuid too.

No I didn't tried it yet. How can this example help me with my problem? Are there costum services advertised?

Is there a possibility to check how big my advertising data is right now?

Background of all this is that I want to publish a own service during advertising so the connected device knows what service are available from my device.

Also make sure you are not exceeding the maximum 31 bytes of data you can put in your advertising packet.

 * @retval NRF_ERROR_DATA_SIZE     If the operation failed because not all the requested data could fit into the

did you tried ble_app_beacon example which is in sdk 14.2.0-> examples->ble_peripheral.
