I've a custom peripheral heart rate device.
I use central example "ble_app_hrs_c" to connect it by PCA10040.
After I set up the service (Target_UUID) and characteristic UUID for custom device.
The central still can' discovery it

RE: Central connect to custom peripheral of heart rate device issue

For how to add a custom UUID, like the UUID in the UART example you can have a look at the following:

This post explains well and refers to nAN-36.

This post does also explain well (old, but the principle is still the same)

The NUS_BASE_UUID is 128 bit. But, my peripheral device is 16 bit UUID.

How do I set up the NUS_BASE_UUID?

Thank you.

RE: Central connect to custom peripheral of heart rate device issue

I've set up breakpoints on case BLE_GAP_EVT_ADV_REPORT and find_adv_uuid.

But, program doesn't enter to this function.

I checked it that ran into BLE_GAP_EVT_TIMEOUT.

I used SDK 12.3 version.

OK, I'll try it by UART example.

If you want to use a custom service, I would recommend you to take a look at the UART central/peripheral example. That example shows how to use custom service.
