I am trying to program a nrf52832 sparkfun board through a nRF52DK. I have already gone through the pin connection guide succesfully and I can flash succesfully hex files which however do not seem to work a least with SDK14.0.2.
Which examples have you tried? Are no examples working, or only BLE examples? If you tested BLE examples, did you remember to flash the softdevice? If you have erased the entire chip using nrfjprog or nRFgo Studio, the bootloader should be gone. There is no need for a bootloader when using SDK 14, unless you want to do device firmware updates (DFU), etc.

Please have a look at this guide on using the SDK with custom boards.
