It might be that the dongle is empty when you received it maybe.</p> <p>If this is the case, could you download the latest version of the OB file <a href="https://www.nordicsemi.com/eng/nordic/Products/nRF51-Dongle/nRF5x-OB-JLink-IF/52277" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">from this link here</a>, then remove your nrf51 dongle from the usb port, hold the button on the side of the dongle &amp; insert the dongle into the usb port again. Then, the LED on the dongle should start flashing &amp; should appear in windows file explorer as a BOOTLOADER drive. Then, you can drag &amp; drop the OB file to the dongle. If you then remove &amp; insert the dongle again, you should be able to recognize it as a JLINK drive.</p><div style="clear:both;"></div>
