To create Characteristic Presentation Format descriptor create BLEDescriptor with uuid 0x2904 (+ base ble uuid) and set value to 0x03-00-00-00-00-01-00-00. 3 is unsigned int 32 bit (check the link i have above).

Thank you for the reply. I'm sorry but I have no idea of what are you talking about :( I tried to google it but i found nothing clear for me. Do you have any code example/link?

Hi,

Actually, from the latest version 4.19.0 you may use the Characteristic Presentation Format descriptor (https://www.bluetooth.com/specifications/gatt/viewer?attributeXmlFile=org.bluetooth.descriptor.gatt.characteristic_presentation_format.xml). Most of types specified there are supported (except 64- and 128-bit integers). I hope that's enough.

Characteristic Aggregate Format descriptor is not supported, so just one value can be used per characteristic.

I'll annoy you once more: how would proceed if you need decimal value to be shown?

Unfortunately not. There are many people that ask about this, and they all have different use cases. It would be hard to cover everyone's prefered display format of their values.

Maybe I'm losing something. So there is now way for the app nRF Connect to show decimal number? Or maybe I could change something on my code on the Arduino side?

Hi,

Unfortunately it is not possible to customize how custom characteristic values show up in nRF Connect.

We have these tutorials, but they are a little outdated.
