&lt;p&gt;From a theoretical perspective, a device that emits a provisioning beacon is not part of the mesh as yet (it doesn&amp;#39;t have network key(s) etc.) and therefore as you thought, its message cannot be relayed. Nordic do provide a proprietary/experimental &lt;a href="http://infocenter.nordicsemi.com/topic/com.nordic.infocenter.meshsdk.v2.0.1/group__PB__REMOTE.html" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"&gt;PB-Remote&lt;/a&gt; bearer which allows the provisioning&amp;nbsp;of remote devices outside the range of a provisioner.&lt;/p&gt;
