After having read the documentation of "nRF5 SDK v15" and "nRF5 SDK for Mesh v2.0.1" it is not clear to me which PHY layer it uses at the end.

In the documentation I found the following contradictions:

On the one hand "nRF5 SDK v15"

RE: MESH Bluetooth PHY version

Hello again,

Going back on the same topic, I would like to ask (if possible) if Nordic has plans to implement the BLE 5.0 physical layer in Mesh? either in short or long term?

My best regards,

As you can see in this link, the document says: "The Bluetooth Mesh is based on the Bluetooth low energy part of the Bluetooth 4.0 Specification and shares the lowest layers with this protocol."

Many people wrongly assume that Bluetooth Mesh uses Bluetooth 5.0, but this is not the case.

Kind Regards,

Bjørn
