i am doing a project where i have to exchange strings between nrf52832 as peripheral and andoird smartphone using nrf connect app, in this project data security is a high priority so

thanks for your response so i have tried with sdk 15.0.0 nus central example and nus peripheral example, with nrf ble sniffer 2.0.0 i found that sniffer captures the packets between nus central and peripheral but not continuously between the nus peripheral and nrf connect mobile app.

so i found that nus communication is not encrypted.

RE: is NUS peripheral example from sdk 14 and later is sending encrypted data

Hello nikunj8086. The NUS peripheral example (and the central example) do not use encryption.

There are several other examples that enable encryption by using the Peer Manager module.

Try having a look at one of these examples (such as Health Thermometer Service Sample Application, ble_app_hts)

There is information about the usage on infocenter, and I think there are some other threads here on devzone relating to using the Peer Manager.
