This worked. I had same issue.

However, when I remove the jumper the JLinkARM.DLL errors return.

Hi Ignacio,

Could you double check that the current measurement pins are soldered to the board, or if there are any other hardware issues for that matter?

I would like you to try to connect the "P0.21" to "VDD" as shown below: (to short VDD_nRF to nReset, to avoid a potential pin reset at the initialization of the debug port)

Ok so it was a System Variable issue where both nrf51 and nrf5x were included so it was using the old version of nrfjprog

C:\Program Files (x86)\Nordic Semiconductor\nrf51\bin\

After deleting the duplicated line:

From the image, I can see that 5.2.0 is the active version. Try uninstalling, and install it again to see if it helps. nrfjprog -v must return 9.7.3 for it to be active.

That is an old version of nrfjprog. Newest version is 9.7.3. You should install a new version from here: infocenter.nordicsemi.com/index.jsp

Next iteration of the question requires of you coming into my office to check it. Second test as suggested. The only difference is the compilation of the j-link firmware although the version is the same

I find it very strange that you get the error "invalid argument provided --log". Could you screenshot the result of the command "nrfjprog -v" in cmd?

Most likely there is something wrong with your nRF5x Command Line Tools version.

Could you try one more thing for me:
Go into "Jlink-Commander" and type:

- connect

- NRF52832_XXAA

- S

- 4000

This is the J-Link configurator screenshot. I can manage to update the debugger firmware without any trouble.

If you go into "J-Link Configurator" what do you see? (could you provide a screenshot?)

You did this step correct? Hold in the "IF BOOT/RESET" button while Turning on the kit? It should then show up as a Removable Storage Device named "BOOTLOADER" and LD5 should blink 1 sec. intervals. Hi Martin,

I have tried all that without luck

- I have the latest nrF5x Command Line Tools (v 9.7.3).

- The segger version you have indicated (J-Link v 6.22g) although the latest is 6.32g

- I have tried all that suggested on the list. Opening the J-Link Commander will not help neither. Please see image attached

It cannot establish connection with the micro.

I have just rip off the seal of this nRF52 development kit. No chance to flash anything on it.

What is wrong?

Hi ignacio,

1. Make sure that you have nRF5x Command Line Tools installed

2. Download J-Link v6.22

(you can check your version with going to "cmd" and use the command "nrfjprog -v")

I would also recommend you to go through this list.

Try to open "j-link configurator" and see if your board is recognized there.

If nothing works, run the cmd "nrfjprog.exe --recover --log" and post the log here.
