There seems to be a bug in the new nRF Connect based version of the PPK that prevents it from being used with an external J-Link. Our developers are working on a fix to this. In the mean time I recommend you to use a DK as the external debugger.

I still didn't flash the PPK with firmware.

Have you flashed the PPK with the correct firmware? Which PPK application are you using? nRF Connect?

Now I get a SEGGER J-Link Lite with 10-pin connector.

I connected the SEGGER J-Link to the PPK board P21 and switch the COM switch SW3 to 'EXT'.

Both of the boards are connected to PC through USB cable.

The USB of PPK is power supply only no any device is recognized.

The SEGGER J-Link is recognized as USB device 'J-Link driver'.

But in the PPK application, no any option is available for the 'Select Serial Port'.

What is the possible cause of this?

If you like to use the PPK as a standalone, you will need an external SEGGER J-Link. Do you have a J-Link 10-pin needle adapter?

Hi,

I would like to use PPK for 'Measuring current on custom hardware without nRF5x DK'.

Refer to the connection guideline a SEGGER J-Link is necessary. Is SEGGER J-Link a must? Or PPK can be standalone?

If SEGGER J-Link is a must, would you please tell me the part number of SEGGER J-Link? I have one in my office but the connector size doesn't match on P21 of PPK.
