&lt;p&gt;document says press the button during power on but that applies to ad on dk, not with ready product example .&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;If you have paired (bonded) the smart remote with a device, it will do directed advertising towards this device and go to sleep after a short period of time. You can delete bonding information as desctibed in the &lt;a href="http://infocenter.nordicsemi.com/topic/com.nordic.infocenter.rds/dita/rds/designs/smart_remote/smart_remote_3_nrf52/quick_start/pair_w_windows.html?cp=9_3_0_6_3"&gt;Pairing Quick Start&lt;/a&gt; documentation.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;In order to program the DK add-on board, you need to assemble it as described in the two first sections of the&amp;nbsp;&lt;a title="Quick start" href="http://infocenter.nordicsemi.com/topic/com.nordic.infocenter.rds/dita/rds/designs/smart_remote/smart_remote_3_nrf52/quick_start/quick_start.html?cp=9_3_0_6"&gt;Quick start&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;docuemntation. The firmwares are available for download on the &lt;a href="https://www.nordicsemi.com/eng/nordic/Products/nRFready-Smart-Remote-3-for-nRF52-Series/nRF6939-FW/57253"&gt;product page&lt;/a&gt;. The firmware package contains projects for Keil&amp;nbsp; IDE and GCC compiler.&lt;/p&gt;
