Yes, the our BLE stack,i.e. SoftDevices, are deliverd as precompiled binaries with header files exposing the API and are pre-qualified by the Bluetooth SIG if used on Nordic HW. This SW architecture ensures clean separation between application and protocol stack. No Bluetooth qualification is needed if you add on HW, but you need to re-certify the entire product for FCC, CE, or IC certification eventhough the BLE module is certified.

Hi Bjom,

Thanks for the reply. Yes some modules are available using your SoCs. Can we modify the firmware and add some hardware to meet our requirement without disturbing BLE firmware and hardware. In this case Does these certifications remain valid. Please suggest.

you can find a comprehensive list of pre-certified modules using Nordic BLE SoCs on our 3rd Party Bluetooth low energy Modules page. All support for Nordic Semiconductor products go through the case system here on DevZone.

Note: Support related to 3rd party software modules should be directed to the module vendor.
