I'm using nrf52832, but the problem seems similar than yours.

Tested with S9+ (BT5) without problems.

iPhone 5, 6, 7 without problems.

The first issue informed is with an iPhone X. It can't connect.

It seems an insuficient PHY event managenent on the peripheral side, as Andy wrote, but why only with BT5 iPhone devices?

Dear Nosignal,

Android phones with BT5 working without any issue with the nrf51422 module ,we have only having issue with the iphone8 & iphone-10 . We have done the testing with the iphone-x in previous week and we have used the nrf tool box for iphone app and the nrf54122 work without any issue so the problem is the previous iphone app what we are using is in objective-c now the new nrf-tool app is developed using swift language and it has support for all nordic IC is there any way we can migrate our old app in object c to new swift platform where we can easily integrate the new nrf tool app ? plz suggest . As our product in customer end we need some quick solution to fix the problem

Dear Hung,

in sru-532 hex file you might not able to see the BLE led for start communication but you can go ahead to pair the DK board after power on. And plz see the review of the customer regarding the iphone-x connectivity with our ANT+/BLE module .

Hi Sumanta,

I tried with the 2 hex file you provided and S310 v3.0 I can see it advertises as Nordic_UART and I can connect using my iPhone8 running iOS v11.3.1 without any problem.

The file for SDU532 doesn't work on the DK though.

We have thousand of customers and millions of chips out on the market and we haven't got any report that iPhone couldn't connect. I would suggest you to check with customer to make sure it's not something else went wrong.

these hex file for nrf51422 module and it work with n5 dk board. I am not having the Iphone-x or iphone-8 that's why i am not able to chk the code in house these problem basically coming from our customer . These code work fine upto iphone-7 what we have in house and with all android phone what we have in house. So if you run the code at your end it will be great help for us to shout out the problem plz replay us asp so that we can support our customer. We need only s310 shoft device to work as we need both ANT and BLE should work simultaneously. Have you till chk any code based on s130 or s310 satck in iphone-8 and dose it work for you in iphone-8 or iphone-10 using BLE protocol ?If possible can you share your email id ?

Could you also provide the hex file you used. I assume it should be able to run on a nRF51DK ?

I am not having the iphone-x with me that 's why i have given the source code for testing with Iphone-x plz run the code at your side and chk if it has any issue if do not have the iphone-x you can chk with iphone-8. Till now code is working for all andrioed phone.

Please follow what Edvin suggested, to test with S130 and let me know the result. Please test with unmodified example in the SDK.

Also please test with other phones as well (Android) and provide sniffer trace on 2 cases iPhone, and Android.

I had a similar problem in my application, but I'm using NRF52832 on SDK15. My problem was that I wasn't handling PHY update requests (BLE_GAP_EVT_PHY_UPDATE_REQUEST) on my BLE event handler. I don't know if you have similar API in SDK 9.0 but in SDK15 this was very easily solved by adding this to my event handler:

I can't seem to replicate what you are reporting.

I have used the same SDK, the same connection interval, but the parts that you have not specified, I am not able to check:

IS_SRVC_CHANGED_CHARACT_PRESENT = ?

BONDING_ENABLE = ?

Are you able to do a sniffer trace with an iPhone 8? You would need an iPhone 8, your board with the nRF, and an additional DK to use with nRF Sniffer.

If not, would it be possible to upload the project, so that I can try to replicate the issue?

Does it happen if you remove all the ANT parts from the project? If it still happens, does it happen if you use the S130 softdevice, or only the S330?
