We want to connect to the PMID of our battery charger, which will have either USB voltage or battery voltage, and turn on the USB peripheral in software.
What is the maximum current which can go into this pin be? i.e. not only the quiscent current, but also the current where there is activity on the USB bus. I have not been able to find this information in the datasheet.

RE: Quiescent current of NRF52840 VUSB with regulator disabled

Hi, thanks for the reply, much appreciated.

RE: Quiescent current of NRF52840 VUSB with regulator disabled

Hi again,

I got a bit more detailed answered from the system architects:

I had a look at the design description for the POWER_USB IP.
There are two possibilities when the POWER_USB IP is disabled, depending on whether VBUS is still connected or left floating.

If VBUS is connected and POWER_USB is disabled, the quiescent current sourced by VBUS is 14.5uA typical (23.7uA worst case).
If VBUS is floating and POWER_USB is disabled, the quiescent current from VBUS is of course 0.
It's worth noting that this numbers are not reported in the PS.

I hope this addresses the customer question.
Let me know if you need more informations on this.
