 I&amp;#39;m developing a Timeout Timer functionality, and was wandering if the following scenario is a good practice:

&lt;p&gt;This should not be a problem at all. The only thing you need to do is to check the EVENTS_COMPARE to see if the timer has expired, as you do not have any other indication (interrupt or while-loop).&lt;/p&gt;
