Einar can you follow up this question, i'm having the exact same problem with my custom application:

is it somehow possible to catch this hopeless retry burst?

If needed i can make a new ticket.

Ok, I'm actually not sure, if Android behaves as expected or if this is a Softdevice internal effect...

I'm doing sd_ble_gap_conn_param_update() with supervision timeout of 2s. Android still does it other UPDATE requests with 20s timeout parameter. But: the Softdevice aborts the connection obviously after 2s.

So the problem is now solved for me. Thanks!

Unfortunately Android does not behave as expected. The master almost always tries to force _its_ value.

Hi,

The peripheral cannot choose to use a shorter supervision timeout (there is no local slave supervision timeout concept). One possible option could be for the peripheral to request a connection parameter update with a shorter supervision timeout, which hopefully the Android phones would accept.

just to clarify: I'm talking about BLE, S132, SDK11
