OK, The application will state that its complete when the image transfer is finished. The update itself will happen after the image has been transfered so one needs to allow some time for the nRF device to update the firmware internally before removing power.

It looks like that it is custom hardware problem. On our device, you have to hold the power button down when you are updating and if you release the button it will shut off the board. When the app says "completed" it is not really completely done updating and if you release the power button at that point, it will sometimes mess up the update.

@suhaihui: I am not able to reproduce the behaviour with the test images from SDK v15.0.0. Did you create a custom application and then generated a firmware image(.zip) for an Applicaiton DFU? If so could you attach the hex file so that I can generate a f.zip file using that?

WHich bootloader project are you using, \examples\dfu\secure_bootloader\pca10040_ble_debug or examples\dfu\secure_bootloader\pca10040_ble?

Are you able to debug the application after the DFU?
