I just got my nRF52832 DK and am following the Getting Started at the Infocenter to get familiar with it. Running Ubuntu 16.04 and all the latest Nordic tools (SDK 15 etc.). While the first steps where very easy - blinky precompiled - I'm stuck

RE: JLinkExe Cannot connect to J-Link via USB.

Installing the JLink tools automatically added the file 99-jlink.rules to /etc/udev/rules.d. However I did not restart afterwards, and now it works. So I'm sure you were right that the issue were udev rules, which require manual update after adding them (commands can be found in the web) or a simple reboot. Thanks a lot!

RE: JLinkExe Cannot connect to J-Link via USB.

I suppose you need to add some udev rules to give your user access to the USB device
