Hi Mttrinh,

Removing is_valid_source() is not the correct answer, but it can match the action I currently need.
For example, if you use simple_on_off_client_set_unreliable() to transmit, the action is normal.

I had a look at is_valid_source() function and from the description of the function:

/** Returns @c true if the message received was from the address corresponding to the clients
* publish address. */

It seems like that the behaviour in your initial question is expected. So removing this function might cause issues.

This issue had solve,
remove “is_valid_source()”,
but have produce new issue.

New issue is simple_on_off_client_set in client, that can't receive from not slef publish's info,
And simple_on_off_client_set's ack no have go by is_valid_source() , As shown below:

is "question 003.png" , is "question 004.png".

Have you had any progress with this issue? I'm still trying to figuring out what is causing this issue. Didn't manage to do step41, but everything else seems to be the same over here.

Step1: Program devzone.nordicsemi.com/.../s140_5F00_nrf52_5F00_6.0.0_5F00_softdevice.hex and devzone.nordicsemi.com/.../light_5F00_switch_5F00_proxy_5F00_client_5F00_nrf52840_5F00_xxAA_5F00_s140_5F00_6.0.0.hex to PCA10056, that call it A.
Step2: Program devzone.nordicsemi.com/.../s132_5F00_nrf52_5F00_6.0.0_5F00_softdevice.hex and devzone.nordicsemi.com/.../light_5F00_switch_5F00_proxy_5F00_server_5F00_nrf52832_5F00_xxAA_5F00_s132_5F00_6.0.0.hex to two PCA10040s, that call it B and C.
Step3: A and B trun off, C trun on.
Step4: Open nRF Mesh for Andriod APP , that call it APP , Press Scanner in APP.

Hi,

Publishing of Element_0x0003 changes to 0x0002, After Element_0x0002 can publish to subscription of Element_0x0003.

with nRF Mesh app.

Hi,

What do you mean by "changed the configuration of Element 0x0003 to 0x0002"? Can you give me more details on how you changed it?

Do you do the provisioning with our provisioning example from the SDK or do you use the nRF Mesh app?

I use both Client&Server and Proxy's android APP (mobile app) with nRF Mesh.
The hardware is PCA10040, and then use the mobile APP to configure the file "Question 001.png".
Why do I use the Client subscription to not read the button status of the Server Publish(Element 0x0002)?
The direction of the black arrow in the figure represents the normal transmission, and the red line represents the transmission failure.

I made the second configuration test attachment image file ("question 002.png" file).
After I changed the configuration of Element 0x0003 to 0x0002, Element 0x0002 can publish to the subscription of Element 0x0003.
However, there is no way for the publish of Element 0x0001 to be received for the subscription of Element 0x0003.
From the figure (question 001 & question 002) you can find:
Client-side subscriptions can only be received if the Element itself has an Publish Address.
The server-side subscription does not require the Element itself to have an Publish Address.

How can I get the client-side subscription to receive the Address that I have not publish yet? (Like the server side)

It shouldn't be a problem doing what you are trying to do, but there aren't much information to know what went wrong. Can you give me more details about your problem? how do you do provisioning and configuration?
